Saving Lives Together

Community engagement

The Road Safety Commission values its relationships with the community across Western Australia and acknowledges that different parts of the state have their own unique road safety conditions and concerns.

These include issues such as unsealed roads, vast distances, heavy haulage, and an over-representation of regional drivers without a licence, or not wearing a seatbelt.

Road trauma continues to be over-represented in regional and remote WA.

Stakeholder groups from Broome to Esperance have valuable input into the Commission’s strategies, as we all have a shared responsibility to strengthen all parts of the safe system in WA.

Acknowledgement of Country

The Government of Western Australia acknowledges the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to the land, waters and community.
We pay our respects to all members of the Aboriginal communities and their cultures; and to Elders both past and present.

The Road Safety Commission is a portfolio within WA Police Force. It reports to the Minister for Road Safety, Hon. Michelle Roberts MLA.
