Motorcycle riders urged to plan their journey this Easter
Motorcycle riders taking advantage of the Easter break this weekend have been warned about the effects of fatigue on long rides.
As part of Motorcycle Safety Week, Motorcycle Riders Association President Dave Wright said motorcycle riders have a responsibility to do the right thing and prepare for their journey.
“Losing concentration for a short time on a motorbike can have devastating effects,” he said.
“I always recommend to people to manage their fatigue by taking plenty of breaks, every two hours if not more, and drink plenty of water.
“Know where you’re going and how long it’s going to take and plan where your stops can be.”
